SHOOTING LANDSCAPE IN THE UK

Above images shot on film SLR's. Earliest is 1986 latest is last week.

There are I imagine lots of people across the world who would offer their sympathy that we in the UK had to endure weather like this. Conversely there are many of us Brits who consider ourselves lucky to get this kind of light. I remember talking to a UK photographer who worked and lived in Hong Kong who told me that it was only when he returned to the UK that he remembered what clouds looked like. Whatever you think about this and I tend to lean towards the second view, though with the reservation that I wish there wasn't so much of it!, there is no doubt that we do experience 'mixed' and 'variable' climatic conditions. There is also no doubt that to be a landscape photographer here, you need patience above all. A LOT of it!!
