When I do black and white, which is pretty rare, I do like it to be very black and very white. I am a sucker for that Chiaroscuro effect. Wide-angles, narrow apertures, black skies all contribute to a dramatic, over the top look that I find very appealing. It's not a particularly 'commercial' look, but some of the librarys I contribute to seem to like it, even though they don't seem to be able to sell it!
I have, of course, got some more 'sedate' versions of these shots, but where's the fun in that!
