I had an afternoon shooting with the Sony a6000 and also shot some ISO tests.

As you can see, that is very impressive. These are OOC jpgs. and even ISO 6400 is usable. Quite remarkable when you remember all that astonishment at the 24MP NEX-7 sensor and the predictions that the sensor would produce incredibly noisy results.

However things move on and sensors get better and better. This has to be the best APS-C 24MP performance so far and it's going to satisfy virtually everyone. And it has to be said that Sony seem able to narrow the gap between APS-C and 'Full-Frame' performance in the same way that Fuji do with their X-Trans sensor. However Sony don't have any raw file conversion issues, as all their files process well in Adobe software.

I have no hesitation in saying the the Sony a6000 is the best value mirrorless camera I've ever bought. Considering what you get I can't see anything that beats it.
