Panasonic GX7 and 14-140mm lens

All images - Panasonic GX7 14-140mm zoom (Mk. II)

While I've been concentrating on the Fuji X-T1 and my Sony A7 / A7r in recent times, there is no doubt that the Panasonic GX7 is also a fine camera. In good light it really shines and the silent electronic shutter is of real benefit in situations with a lot of people around. As you be well aware I'm also a great fan of the 14-140mm updated zoom and yesterday on a lovely Spring day when people flocked to Stratford-upon-Avon it worked really well.

My current theme is about how there are many cameras currently available that do a great job and this post is no exception. The various camera brand supporters clubs can argue all they want, but those of us with more flexible natures can enjoy the benefits that other systems give us. How long I keep the GX7, who knows, but while I have it I'm happy to use it and have no problems with the images it creates in good light. The night shots featured below weren't so good even though I was only using ISO 640, but overall it's a decent camera and the 14-140mm is a great lens, which for the bulk of what I shoot is perfectly capable of delivering top class results. All of course with those m4/3 benefits of small size and light weight.
