Some first shots with the Sony A7r

A few early shots with the A7r and Nikon 28mm f/1.8G, Nikon 50mm f/1.4G and Voigtlander 90mm f/3.5 Apo-Lanthar lenses. Mostly wide-open and mostly at high ISO's. To show just how good the peaking is for getting accurate manual focusing and to make the bokeh / limited DOF / FF fans all hot and bothered!!

Must say the lens I enjoyed using most was the Voigtlander. Shame about the magenta cast and vignetting with m-mount wide-angles, but then the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.4 (my favourite focal length) which should be free of those is on special offer at the moment at one of my favourite dealers. Mmmmm..................

Plus all are from OOC jpgs. which are some of the best I've seen. This camera is going to seriously shake a lot of things up. And I don't just mean from the shutter sound!! I think a lot of perceptions and attitudes may well be changed by the A7r, including mine.

By the way, the Soundimageplus Camera of the year just got a fourth contender.
