Tales from the studio - Part 3 - A Magic photo

How do you take a photograph of a magician? Well the two of us tried some ideas but eventually decided that simplicity was best. He had put together a card on a cotton string tied to his fingers and the idea was that I would Photoshop that away. The straight shot was OK but we both agreed that the focus on the card with him (the magician) slightly out of focus worked the best.

This image got him a lot of work, so it seems it was successful.
