Despite my current workload, I had to share this. I tried the Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 Heliar on my Fuji X-Pro1. By setting the hyperfocal distance to the f/5.6 mark, for which the lens has a convenient click stop, setting the aperture to f/11 and the ISO to 800, I didn't have to refocus for the whole day. The sensor is so "clean" at that setting and the lens performed so well that it was all too easy. Literally "focus-free" and point and shoot.

I took one picture at f/22, which means that everything was in focus from the tip of my nose to the rings of Saturn!! Not for everyone but as someone who shoots a lot of wide angle pictures of the English countryside with as much DOF as possible, absolutely ideal. Today I'm going to try my new "wonder lens" on the Olympus OM-D.
