Remarkable images, and a remarkable story. These photographs have recently come to light and some of them are truly astonishing. From an amateur photographer who kept these photographs as a secret archive for most of her life. Unfortunately she died in 2009 without ever getting the acclaim that she truly deserved. I encourage everybody to view this work, produced seemingly because of a love of photography, and for no other motive. 

When you see work of this calibre only just saved from obscurity by chance, and some of the offerings that sell for fortunes in the photographic art market, you might conclude that life just isn't fair. And you'd be right.
